The EP® Weed Guard is a 3" piece of premium monofilament designed to add weed guards to your fly patterns with ease. Unlike traditional mono sold on spools—which needs to be straightened before use—EP® Weed Guards come ready to tie: perfectly straight and cut to the ideal length.
Strong, clear, and flexible, this material keeps your flies weed-free without interfering with hook-ups. It’s also great for custom applications like crafting epoxy eyes or reinforcing fly bodies. Simple, versatile, and effective—this is the same weed guard we use on all our flies.
