Announcing My First Hosted Trip to Belize - July 10-17, 2010

Join me the week of July 10-17, 2010 at the beautiful Turneffe Flats Lodge for an exciting hosted fly fishing trip for Tarpon, Permit and Bonefish.

Turneffe Flats Lodge has long been recognized as one of the world’s premier flats fishing destinations. I have been fishing Turneffe Flats Lodge for several years and I have found the experience incredible, in terms of both the quality of the fishing and the excellence of the service.

Though Tarpon are my first love, Permit is another passion of mine. At Turneffe Flats Lodge, the Permit abound, so if catching the elusive Permit is on your wish list, then this is the place to go. I can guarantee you will have a better chance to land your first Permit at Turneffe Flats.

So why am I hosting a trip in July? Well, many people believe that July and August are too hot to find fish around. I have found that this is not the case! The fact is, the fish don’t go anywhere – but the people do! As a result, the best advantage to going in July is that you will have all those flats to yourself. The weather in July and August is more consistently good than at any other time of the year. April and May actually are the hottest months of the year. Remember, Belize is now the land of catch and release for Permit, Tarpon and Bonefish. It’s the law!

The week of July 10-17 looks optimal: tides are good and there is a new moon on the 11th. I will make sure you will be taken care of by the most experienced guides and you will have plenty of my best flies to catch those Permit, Tarpon and Bonefish. I will be giving evening classes for those of you wishing to learn how to tie the flies that will catch those fish, including my new patterns for 2010 with suggestions on how to fish them, as well as leader connections, knots, casting techniques, etc.

This trip will coincide with my birthday and I can guarantee we will have fun. The food will be to die for and the service impeccable. After all, I am Italian and am an expert when it comes to that!

The cost of the trip is $2,643.00 per person based on double occupancy and two fishermen per boat. Airfare, gratuities and liquor not included.
